John Sim Wood

Peacefully, on Thursday 5th March 2026, after a short hospital stay, John Sim Wood aka ‘Woody’ of Campbelltown, Ardersier, aged 78.

Beloved husband and best friend of Christine, much loved Dad of Karen & Colin, loving grandfather to Jac, Keiran and Amber, dear father-in-law of Claire & Jim. Cousin, uncle, brother-in-law, Papa Wood and a great friend to so many.

Former boss man at PACE café and Woody’s Truck Stop, plumber/journey man as well as a proud Kishorn Commando.

Truly a life well lived.

A celebration of his life will be held on Monday 23rd March at 12 noon in the funeral home of William T Fraser and Son, Culduthel Road, Inverness, thereafter onto Ardersier cemetery for burial (approx. 13.30pm) to which all are welcome to attend.

Family flowers only, collection at the service for 12th Inverness Boys Brigade.
