PRICE LISTS
By far becoming the most popular choice for families, this option allows you to have the whole funeral service within our premises, with the cremation taking place privately following the service.
- Our full professional services, including all funeral arrangements and directing, completing all necessary forms, liaising and providing documentation to all relevant authorities
- Transferring your loved one into our care
- Advice and assistance with registration duties
- Preparation and care of deceased
- Balmoral room of rest for family viewing
- Mutual agreement on day and time of funeral
- Compiling of newspaper announcement (invoice from newspaper will be charged to you)
- Placing newspaper notice onto our website and Facebook page if required
- Use of our funeral home chapel for funeral service, inclusive of all facilities and staff in attendance
- Provision of live-stream if required
- Provision of hearse and driver to Inverness Crematorium for private cremation
- Return of ashes to our funeral home for collection by family

Unlike other direct cremation providers, there is no delay in cremating your loved one. The cremation will take place at our local Crematorium (Inverness Crematorium) and not a Crematorium 100+ miles away. There is also no additional cost for you to have your loved ones cremated remains, they will be available for you to collect from our funeral home.
A direct cremation is an unattended cremation, with no funeral ceremony that includes:
- Care and collection of deceased from Raigmore Hospital
- Completion of all third-party paperwork
- Provision of Hearse
- Highland Council Cremation Fee (currently £820)
- Staff in attendance
- Solway Coffin
- Return of ashes to our funeral home for collection by family

Help with Funeral Costs
If you have any worries about financial arrangements, please don’t hesitate to talk to us and we can guide you through various options available.
Depending on your circumstances, you may be eligible for help towards the cost of a funeral from the DWP (Department of Work and Pensions). A guide with all the relevant information can be downloaded below.
Terms of Business
- We require payment in full in advance of the funeral date for direct cremations and direct burials.
- The final balance is due within 60 days of the invoice date.
- If the invoice remains unpaid beyond the due date, we reserve the right to charge interest on the overdue amount at the rate of 2% per annum above the base lending rate of The Bank of England. The interest shall accrue on a daily basis from the due date until the date of actual payment of the overdue amount. We reserve the right to recover legal and debt collection fees should you breach these terms of payment.
