At home on Tuesday 11th November 2025, surrounded by his loving family, after an illness bravely borne, Donald Gordon MacAskill, aged 88 years, Alt-Dhubhag, Tomatin. Retired site investigation technician with Highland Regional Council, local bard and historian of Strathdearn. Dearly loved father of Liza, Murdo and Rusty, brother of Lorna, Vivian and the late Florence and Ara, grandfather, great-grandfather, uncle, adopted father and friend to many. Funeral service on Monday 24th November at 11.30am in the funeral home of William T Fraser and Son, Culduthel Road, Inverness, thereafter to Dalarossie Burial Ground.

Following the service and/or interment at Dalarossie a warm invitation is extended to everyone to join the family at the Strathdearn Hub, Tomatin for refreshments.
