John Mackenzie (Inverness/Plockton)

Passed away peacefully at Raigmore hospital on Wednesday 2^nd February 2022.  John Mackenzie, also known as Plockton John, of Suliven Way, Inverness and Plockton, aged 87 years.  Former armature winder at AI Welders and a Phoenix regular.  Beloved father of Iain, Duncan, Malcolm, and the late David Mackenzie.  Loving grandfather, great-grandfather, and an outstanding friend to so many from Inverness, Plockton and around the world.  A gentleman who will be sadly missed by all who had the pleasure of knowing him.  Funeral service on Thursday 17^th February at 3.30pm in the funeral home of William T Fraser and Son, Culduthel Road, Inverness.  The service will stream live HERE.  Thereafter on Friday 18^th February 2022 John will make his final journey back to his beloved Plockton.  The cortege will leave from the family home at 35 Harbour Street, Plockton at 1.00pm walking through the village with the funeral director leading, then onwards to Balmacara Cemetery to lay John to rest at approx. 2.00pm.
